That little voice of warning, did you listen?

In the early spring of 1980 a volcano that hadn't done much in enough time that people disregarded her as a concern changed the landscape of Washington, and some of Oregon, and the weather patterns for awhile when she blew her top. No lava, but an explosion, gasses, a massive flood and mudslides, all came along when she had her tantrum. To this day there are areas with downed trees that simply...have never recovered. There is a lake with a massive log pile up floating around in it from those trees, from over 35 years ago.
What's worse than all of that? People died. People died in such a way that their bodies were never recovered.
Some of those deaths, had people listened, could have been prevented. Now, they were warned by outside sources. But we all have an inner voice, a 6th sense, an early warning device. Most of us blow that 6th sense off, those feelings of something not quite right as just our imagination.
Don't.
Our mind senses all kinds of things that we don't always identify. The way someone is acting, certain sounds, vibrations. For example, I felt like I was having a panic attack moments before experiencing my first earthquake in Japan.
Don't go all chicken with it's head cut off, but listen to that inner voice.
What about you? Have you had a time when you had a sense something was wrong, and listened, or didn't listen? What happened?

Well, you may have missed something terrible and never known it, since you listened and didn't do whatever it was, or go whereever it was

I always wonder if our instincts were always right, just something changed or we never found out what they were really warning us about

That feeling that you describe is there but what unfolds is anyone's guess. So what precautions can one take when one does not know what is in store?

sometimes all you can do is proceed with caution and try to be alert

Some people I think are naturally more intune with that voice, others I think have ignored it for so long they no longer even recognize it as a thing

Everyone has at least once, I think, ignored that voice and had to live through the cleanup afterwards

Yeah, I think everyone has ignored that inner voice at least once, and then had to pay the price

I'm sure most of us have, but do we listen, I know that I don't and then wished I had.
