It’s so simple to search for images and find all the free images you need for MyLot. All you’ll need to do is use Google. In your Google search bar type in something like……friendship and follow it with the word image. This brings up all the images on the Internet. But don’t just take any image you find. You need to go a little further. Select all the images so you can see them on your screen. Right under your Google search bar you will see: Web – Images – Apps – Videos – News – More – Search Tools Select Search Tools by clicking on this. Now Under your Search tools you will find Size – Color – Type – Time – Usage Rights – More Tools Select usage right and then narrow down your search results for only “labeled for free use” images. These are all the images you can now copy and use on MyLot. Have fun and enjoy an easy way to find images for MyLot. It is so simple and really narrows down your search. Then you won't have to worry about using images on this site if you follow these instructions.

@akalinus When the Internet first started I had to build some websites for other people. At this time there were no free image sites or ways to rip off images. You either had or own or you had to do like many of us had to do. You purchased images from companies who had disks full of clip art images. No not all images on the disk are clip art. You have thousands upon thousands of high quality images you can use. I own a vast library of clip art image disks. Before I had many of them classified and it was easy to find the images. Now I don't use them as often as I should because they stay classified on one of my many backup disk and I am too lazy to find which one and plug it in. So basically I use my own images, images friends gave me to use, images I have purchased, and a few images I now borrow or take off of pixabay and flickr. I made sure I only use the ones they say I can use and not ones with restrictions.

@Marty1 Try following what I said I'm sure you'll find this very easy. If you get lost let me know. I will try to add some screen shots here to make it easier to find.

I think that's the best way to go. But here on the islands I can take so many pictures of flowers, birds, coconuts, lagoons and then there is no more. Lucky for me I have millions of images taken through the years that I can use on MyLot and some other places. But when a post calls for something I don't have and I can't find in the millions of images I paid for on clip-art disk there are times I have to have faith and borrow an image another person was so nice to upload. I am very careful which image I do borrow because I don't want to use something that might get me in troule. But like you for the most part it's better to use my own.

Mostly if I use photos they're ones I shot myself, but this is very important information for those who like to use free images. I've so often seen honest writers use photos they didn't have the right to, including watermarked images, because they didn't know better. I hope those who need the information will see this post.

I do like using my own images first. But at times you need one. So I use the ones that are free and we can use.

@Gina Sometimes when people use them, they bought the right to use it. There are sites where you can register and use a certain number of free images. The trouble with public sites is that sometimes people post a copyrighted image as a free one. That gets people in trobule when they use them innocently.

@akalinus You are right on this one. However, when I have used my own images on different sites for different things I have seen them appear on FB on a person's profile or using my image as their own. I see them also appearing on other websites. You can always do an image search and see where your personal images are and if anyone is using them illegally.

@poehere I am still trying to get this whole site right so it will be awhile before I try the pictures. I might see if I can do my own pics too, but again, that will be awhile. I am still trying to catch up as I get so many notifications. I guess that is a good though.

Nancy it is not too hard to follow these simple instructions and you can find some nice images on free sites. This search method takes the guess work out of using the image and if it\s free or not.

I rather not use any image than to search for free images, and we have to remember to give credits. I think there is no harm in using images, and there is no harm in not using images.

Yes I do have to agree with you on this one. This is an excellent point. If I do use a free image I do give credit or tell people where I have found it.

That helps your work and business. I enjoy taking photos but I'm not a professional either. I would rather use my images. But there does come a time to illustrate something that a free images is your only choice.

I only use my own or Pixabay - we need to make sure that images we use we have the legal right to use them. All free images do not fit that.

That's why this search function is so wonderful. It can narrow it down so you only see the images you can use on any site.

@dodoazo That's why you narrow down your search and only take ones you can legally use from sites such as Pixabay and some from Flickr. Some of flickr images are changing so you need to be careful with them. Second option is to do like me buy your images on a disk and now you own them and can use them. I have disks full of images I have purchased for building websites. They are mine and I can use them on the internet without having problems using them. Yes I might of paid for them but in the end I have almost 700k of images I can use. I like this because I paid for them and they are mine legally to use.

Good idea and good point. But there are some who don't have a lot of photos to use or don't want their personal photos used so they prefer to use free images. I can see it both ways on this one.

Your welcome. I learned this trick a long time ago when I needed a lot of fee images or creative common images. You can easily find them and narrow down your search using this method. Makes it so much faster.
