Make a dessert today.. In honor of..

Today is the national dessert day .. I read. I cannot understand why they celebrate such days. It looks like a celebration for celebrations sake. So why not make one to celebrate your life today? What are your favorite desserts? Do you have any plans of making one to honor the day? No, not me I am off all sweets, chocolate and pastries. Maybe If I feel like it I will make something for my son when he gets back from school.. maybe a cheese cake or a chocolate mousse.

What is a halo halo.? I've never heard of that before. Yeah I did make a note of the S You planning on making any of those today?

@sofssu it's a Filipino dessert where crushed ice is poured over mixture of a bits of everything like leche flan , candied yam , candied jackfruit and other fruits . I will see if i have a picture of that and i will attache it here . You will surely like it . Oh you make me crave for one now .

I cannot understand all those celebrations, anyway I am making a dessert today because I have guests in the evening.

@LadyDuck so it doesn't make sense to you either.. What dessert would that be? All this talk of dessert is making me want to eat something sweet..LOL I can't.

I find it odd that there is a day kept for celebrating desserts. And just for that I will not make any My favouorite dessert is caramel custard.

LOL it does sound silly to make a dessert to celebrate a day, which is why I said celebrate life. Caramel custard sounds good. I am not a great fan of it but my younger son is.
