I haven't had to deal with an in heat cat since I was a kid. I am a fanatic about getting animals 'fixed.' I even have a rather large stop sign shaped decal on my car about Please! take care of your critters. Years ago on my first job working as a Vet assistant the office manager turned to me and said she was so glad that more folks spayed their critters now. I asked why she seemed so deeply delighted. She said that she did not have to deal with the sadness of breast cancer so often now. Yes, our furry friends get breast cancer, too. She said the sadness had about done her in. I am glad that I do not have to handle finding homes for little kits and pups. I take in what I can and give them all I can. I just do not have the resources to shell out more from my pocketbook. On with joy and play!
