Slowest Internet Speed in the World

I have heard a lot in the news that our country, has the slowest internet speed in the world! Other than that, it is also costly compared to other countries. I am not sure but in my lifetime of having the internet connection or wi-fi at home, I am not always satisfied with the speed of my connection.
It is really annoying and most of the time it impedes my activities on line. How is your internet speed?
Mine gets worst today because we have a super typhoon here. I may be need some rest to cool down and go back later.

I have switched over to another ISP as the one I had seems to have issues with their tower. Each time current fails their connection gets cut off.

Mine is more than adequate, but I have used seriously slow speeds in the past. Back in the days when everyone used ordinary dial up internet at 56 kps, I had to install a software modem to use my mobile because a standard modem converted digital to analogue and I wanted digital to digital. This gave me a speed of 14.4 kps.
