What is Your Favorite Thing to Do in Your Town?

Laguna Woods, California

The retirement community where I live is on the edge of Laguna Beach, California. My favorite activity is to walk on the beach. From time to time, I am sure I will post little articles about some of the things I see at the beach. My mornings there are rich with fun and fascinating experiences and I have a lot of photos I look forward to sharing. The photo I am sharing today shows the small town of Laguna Beach and the main beach, taken from a cliff at the north end of the town. I hope some of you will share a little about your town and include photos, too. I love to see pictures of far-away places.

I love walking on the beach but not like you who can do it as often as you want because we have to travel for long hours to reach the beaches.

I knew the islands in the Philippines were large, but I did not know that some people have to travel hours to get to the beach!

I love your posts about Laguna Beach, I'd love to go there. I did a post on B quite a while ago about my town, I may see if I can re-write it for here.

@DeborahDiane Yes. I think it's perfectly acceptable as long as we word them differently.

Yes, I am finding that I can re-write short versions of old B posts here, without duplicating the content.

@jaboUK - I agree! We just need to completely re-write them. However, we can re-use topics all we want.

One day I should go there with you, so you can show me where you park. I walk at the Strand Park in nearby Dana Point. Lovely by the sea!

Yes, I know where Strand Beach is. My husband used to work in the office building right next to the parking lot there. I know where all the free parking is in Laguna Beach. Makes it more pleasant to spend time there!

@DeborahDiane Parking is the reason I don't usually go to Laguna. Learning where to park would change that for me.

My dream has always been to retire at the beach.

I hope that someday your dream comes true. Not all beach locations are overly expensive ... although Laguna Beach is. That's why we live four miles inland.

Our entire family loved our visit to Laguna Beach. We love the woods and quietness of our town, but are lucky to be close to a university city that offers theater, fine dining, museums, and great shopping.

Theater, fine dining, museums and great shopping are good reasons to love a place, too. Those activities are near Laguna Beach, as well, although you would never realize it when you are there!
