The Good and Bad of Country Living

When we moved to this area, known as a farming community, we knew we would be further in the boonies than our previous homes in Tennessee. There are good and bad points: Good: We don't hear many sirens, when we do we know it's serious. It's quiet except for the occasional John Deere Tractor It's pitch black at night so you can really see the stars Bad: We have to shop at the local Piggly-Wiggly which isn't my first choice We have to drive 25-30 minutes each way to a decent store They stopped delivering the local paper due to lack of interest It's the paper that bothers me the most! That's were I learned of all the yard sales, who is in jail and for what, local activities and new store openings. Unfortunately, we were at the end of a route and the route wasn't profitable which means no 'paper delivery person' wanted to do it. So, we were notified that we could continue to get the paper but it would be mailed to us and received a day late...what! Day late news....no thanks! Talk about a day late and a dollar short!

I know that, but it's a modified version, doesn't have much.

@AbbyGreenhill yeah doesnt surprise me, I know many do that, but I don't know why! It's not that hard to put a scan of the paper up, ours does that, its not the easiest to read, but you can actually see Page 1, page 2, etc

I agree with all you've pointed out but I have one to add to the perks, my pups have a fenced in half acre to play on the only con is I do have to keep it weed free, whew what a job and it's neverending but I do love it.
