My turn at the doctor

No, nothing is wrong, it is my annual wellness visit. Last week I had labs done and today I get the results, plus ask questions about any issues I have, etc. The annual wellness visit is no charge, our insurance company provides it to everyone, once a year. But since we pay no co-pay to begin with it doesn't change anything for us. Another benefit is that once I finish my visit I call a certain phone number to let them know it's done and I will get a $15 Amazon gift card. My husband got his a few months ago. Last year we took the Applebees' gift card and we did use it, but that is not one of my favorite places to eat. They were short handed the day we were there and service was awful. I buy from Amazon quite frequently so our combined $30 will be nice! I also have a $5 Amazon gift card that I won on CrowdTap. Have a good day!

really? That a way to encourage people to get them done, and prevent bigger unknown problems? That is an AWESOME incentive!

Yes it is and I would do the annual wellness visit w/o it but it's nice to get something free from a health insurance company!

It's great that you're able to have a free visit and get rewarded for it. Here in Canada, it works differently. We don't really have to worry about insurance for checkups and such.

Yes, you have a better deal in Canada. We pay thru the nose here.

This is a great idea to push people to go to see their doctor at least once a year. I also buy from Amazon regularly.

That's a very good program to get people in to see the doctor. How's the ankle healing up?
