C'mon on folks. Let go and tell me all the ways you cherish tofu. What's your favorite way to chow down on soy curd? Plain? Fried? Marinated? In with noodles or maybe with rice? Spicy or au natural? Ginger? Vegies that go with it? Perhaps peanut sauce? Bacon and tofu? Waiting.....

I love tofu because you can eat it in so many different ways. I prefer mine just steamed with soy sauce and green onions. It's delicious. Mapo tofu is also nice and of course, fried tofu is always a favorite too. I even have tofu pudding sometimes. It's delicious and healthy :D

You are so right! I'm with you on tofu. I used to hate the stuff till I realized it actually had flavor when cooked right.

@sallypup It's a spicy type of tofu from Chinese cuisine. It's really, really good and I would highly recommend you trying it. If you can't eat spicy, you can ask for mild mapo. It's still really good and goes well with rice.

I like it stir fried with high quality soy sauce and sesame oil. I also like smoked tofu, and baked tofu, and deep fried tofu is wonderful and decadent. I also really like plain firm tofu on whole wheat bread with spicy brown mustard.

@Rohvannyn I've not heard of Yamasa brand. I wonder what choices Safeway will have?

@sallypup Oh, it's so incredibly worth it. It's not cheap, but the best price you will find is in the big white can. We buy a can of it about every six months. In case you were wondering, Yamasa is the best soy sauce brand.

Whiz soft tofu in with a banana or other fruit in a blender and make yourself a tasty protein shake, @tiarasoceanview.

That sounds like fun. Sit your wife down and say, 'Honey, lets have a tofu conversation.'

I'm a big fan of tofu, unless it's served plain. I haven't cooked with it in a very long time but have pressed it and used it in stir fry in former days. These days I like to seek out restaurants that serve tofu dishes. I've discovered only one at the Food Court at a nearby mall, that's a bit surprising since there are several vendors of ethnic food there, including Japanese and Indian. It's the Korean vendor that has the tofu dish. Near my house a Thai restaurant serves two or three dishes that incorporate tofu. OK, now I'm hungry!
