What Happened To MH370?

It's really awful to hear aviation disasters over the news but it is anguishing to find no closure for families of that fateful flight MH370. All the search have come to nothing and there is only one discovery of the plane's fuselage found so far. I could not help feeling for the families of those on board the flight. Other than a midair explosion, I cannot think of any reasons how a commercial jet can just "vanish" without a trace. If the plane did explode in midair without a single shot fired then what was it carrying? Or what happened? What do you think?

I think that it never exploded, this plane was stolen by some fanatic groups and it is somewhere. France has not confirmed that the fuselage is the one of this plane.

If it was stolen then how do you explain the fuselage found near the French Reunion Island? The fanatic groups decided to tear the plane to pieces and strewn them all over the ocean?

@LadyDuck Please tell me which is which.
French prosecutors confirmed today that a wing part found on a remote Indian Ocean island was from ill-fated Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, a month after tests on the flaperon began.

In that case, I'm going along with the fact that it was hijacked and because of the banned volatile cargo on board, the hijackers could not complete their mission when the cargo exploded inside causing the plane to explode in midair. It is quite sensible because there would be no group to claim responsibility since the mission had failed and coming forward would just make them look silly and not forgetting disgraceful.

@LadyDuck In that case , it would become a mystery to everyone , because most have smelled something fishy about what was declared .

@SIMPLYD All the media wrote about the discover of the fuselage in the French Island, but almost nobody reported that, after the experts examined the fuselage, France declared that it was not that plane. There is something fishy here.

Like my response to Anna if the plane did not explode then how does one explain the absence of debris till now? If it went down like the MI flight the plane's debris would have been found and located. I never liked the wild goose chase during the search and rescue period as it was literally a circus out there. The whole world or almost were deployed and we all know how it turn out. It is something everyone is still wondering about.

These disasters are happening more and more--and with all our technology they, sometimes, are lost to us.

It is indeed worrying at this rate these disasters are happening. It is not as if it is Orville and Wright times where aviation is still at its infancy stage. Right now, I'm terrified to fly.

I think there's nothing sinister. It went down over open ocean and we'll probably never know more than that.

Sorry but it disappeared over South China Sea and the search expanded onwards after more and more theories were thrown in starting with the Straits of Malacca and all the way to the Indian Ocean. Short of a midair explosion I just don't see how a sizable commercial jet can actually go down and not have any debris. Other than the Indian Ocean, the jet did not have the fuel to make it to the Pacific so that rules out looking for it there.

I have no idea but my heart hurt for all those families who lost loved ones. I hope some day we know what happened. They will need to find the plane before we will know.

I agree with you fully and until the debris or bodies are found which is remote now with passing time, there is definitely no closure here. It is really sad here.

I don't think so considering there were no reports of any missiles being fired at all from any of the Asian countries. It is unlike the other Malaysian Airlines jet MH017 which was shot down in Ukraine.
