Okay, I know the title of my discussion is quite irrelevant from the post beneath. But, this post is totally on-demand of one of our myLot friends.. How would our hand-writing look if a right-handed person tries to right with left-hand. I did it and here is the compared outcome. Please share your invaluable thoughts on it and I would also love to see some of your pictures of such left-handwritten masterpieces....

@Ishani08 I think it is a good idea to practise writing with your left hand if you have the time. If you ever hurt your right time, you'll be half a step ahead if you write a little with your left.

I am ambidextrous but never really used my left hand for so long to write. For my left I use for cutting and crocheting and for carrying heavier things. but writing it's my right

@ramapo17 wow! Its good to hear that you were a hairdresser and could use both your hands for the task.

I use my left hand to do something's but write with my right. I was a hairdresser and could use both hands in creating different hairstyles which made it easy and faster than just using my right hand.

You could see yourself that you could write your name neatly with your right hand, as you are a right handed person. When writing with your left hand, there were some jerky movements and your letters have less uniformity and your letters have gone below the base line, while writing. It proves that left side of your brain is more functional, which guides you to write with your right hand. I have some interest in graphology (study of handwriting) and according to graphology if one is writing in capital letters, s/he does not want to reveal his/her real emotions or real-self. However, you might have written your name in capital letters, because you just want to have a clear picture of your hand writing and it is a matter of chance only, so my analysis about writing in capital letter may not hold true here.

@Ishani08 Yes, I know graphology. If you send me a full page sample of your handwriting with your signature appended below it, I could analyse about your traits. For better results you should use a plain sheet for your handwriting. You could send me the scanned copy of your handwriting through mail.

you did well writing with your left hand... I don't think I can do that well writing with my non-dominant hand...

@Ishani08 Ah, over 6 seconds per letter - there's the difference then, it probably took you 6 seconds to write the whole name with your dominant hand...

Yes, even I didn't know that I could write with my non-dominant hand. But it was indeed fun as it took me nearly 40 seconds to write those six letters of my name!

I don't write very well with either hand. However I learnt piano for many years so when I began to learn to type my little fingers were quite strong. Many of the other people in the class had trouble making their little fingers push down the keys - this was on manual typewriters.

@JudyEv Trust me, you are certainly much much better than me! I once tried playing a congo in my schooltime and and ended tearing its skin.

@Ishani08 I'm sorry to disappoint you but I never touch the piano now. I was an obedient daughter who learnt because my mother wanted me to but I don't believe I was very talented.
