I've Been Absent and Continue to Be...

I haven't been taking the time to come on here lately. I find myself kind of wanting to not be on the computer so much. That will change I am sure after next week as my daughter (who is now working for an airlines) is taking me away on a 5-day vacation. I will be without my computer so I'm guessing when I get back I will be scrambling to get online. But then again, I might be overwhelmed with a ton of emails and such that I could turn away again. 
So I'm off to Vegas tomorrow and will be returning on Friday, which happens to be my birthday. I get anxiety about going away because I don't know how my health will hold up. Add to that, we are only taking carry-on bags so that we don't have to pay $25/bag and I'm trying to follow all the rules about medications and vitamins and such. I have two bags of bottles. I hope it doesn't hold us up at customs. My daughter will be furious. And, my best guess is that we probably won't be speaking to each other by the end of the week. 
We're staying at Circus Circus, which happens to be where Fright Dome is and this being Halloween week there could be some hauntings in the hallways of the hotel. Wish us luck.

The hotels in Vegas are actually resorts. There's a lot going on in all of them. It can take a couple of hours to cover the whole hotel. We stayed in Manor Lodge which is across the driveway. We had no fridge or microwave and had to walk all the way down to CVS to get snacks. There should have been a vending machine in each Manor Lodge building. The circus acts were really more for the kids as they were each about 10 minutes long with 20 minutes until the next one. I think Adventuredome/FrightDome is the highlight of this hotel.
