Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman is probably seen as pure syrup to some. Parts of it is grounded in sad, distressing history. Pepper is sprinkled in, bloody real stinging pepper. Hank the pimp and bar owner, the purveyer of women, the Indian hell reality. Lovely music and some fun times and yet, and yet those starving children and preying soldiers. The blacksmith who is not allowed to forget that he once was a slave. What would it be like to live in those times? Who would you like to be if you had to be somebody then?

As bad as crime is today, I still wouldn't want to live back then. The medical procedures reminds me of the Star Trek movie where they go back in time and the Doc made a comment about the "medieval practices" in the 1980s.

I hear you. Dr. Quinn does seem to have more knowledge than the average doc for those days.

Life was too hard back then. I wouldn't have wanted to be anyone. I never watched that show, I was too busy working and trying to make ends meet. I'm not sure I even had a tv in those years.

I didnt see much of this show, but I do recall it. If I were in that time, I would have liked to be a lady at home sewing minding my own business lolz

I'm sorry to say that I've never seen a single episode of that show.
