When I Am Rich Then I Will Be 'HAPPY'

Huh?!! Have you heard that phrase? Well, I heard it from too many people these days. Even from my older brother. I asked why he think like that, then he told me that being rich can give him all he wants. Immediately, when I heard that from him, I oppose the idea. Many people got rich who commits suicide. Many wealthy people got in to too many marriages. Many prosperous men and women admits that they are depressed. Money is not the main reason to be happy. For me the accomplishments we have in life makes us happy. Money is just a one of the tool but will never be the main factor for you to be happy. Anything you can add to my friends about being rich then be happy?

The problem with expecting money to make them happy is that once they get some, there will always be other people with more. Money as a motivator is a bit of a disaster.

Money as motivator? Haha! No one gets successful on that. Many rich people got wealthy because they like to make difference and help others.

The happiness that money can bring is only temporary. I know a lot of moneyed people who live in loneliness and tears.

I so agree . Money isn't everything . Yes, it can give you all the comforts in life and make you happy , but it doesn't guarantee that you are happy indeed in the real sense of the word . It could be that because you have so much money , all your friends are only after what you can give them .

rich people tend to be plagued by people who want to be with them to get heir money. They don't know if they are really loved or if the people saying they love them just want expensive gifts and pay-outs - it can drive them into depression

That is why some really got depressed. They do not know what if they were loved by people or just their money.

Money does not make people happy. It does help pay bills and such, but happiness comes from within.

Good answer! Money is just a tool. It is how the bearer will use it.

If''s and when's discount the present joys of life. My goal in life is to make each moment count.. There are no if's and when's for me.. Now is the time!

@wiLLmaH No I do not think that love can buy money and money cannot buy love, it can buy a "body" to use, it's not the same.

There's a difference between being rich and having enough. You are more likely to be happy if you have enough, so that you don't have to worry about bills. But money on it's own doesn't equate to happiness.

You are correct. Money certainly adds up to the comfort but not the total factor of happiness.

Being rich can make you happy depending on - You love what you do that made you rich - you get a good night's sleep regardless of what you do - people around you are proud of you and respect you - you have enough time to be with your family and watch your children grow If any of these is missing, you may feel you're happy but that is just money filling up the holes in your live and not very neatly either.

Many rich people that i have come across are not a happy lot. Money can never buy happiness,it might buy some things that can make you happy but unless you learn how to use it wisely,it can be a disaster

Money buy things that makes us happy. But money will never be the primary reason of happiness. Helping, loving and caring people will make our inner self happy.

I rather have a lot of money not be a poor. Why? I can use my money to continue helping others rather than being poor and be the one who be in need.

I think there's a certain amount where money does provide happiness. It's all about finding a balance. I know I am happier when I'm making enough money to cover all of my bills and then some.
