What are your fantasy Mylot features? What would you like to see here?

One feature that I would like to see on this site is some way of seeing if particular members are online or offline. All to often I am having a discussion with someone, and am waiting eagerly awaiting their response . . time comes, time goes and then I decide that they must be off line / away. A little symbol that glows next to their name would be useful to indicate if they are still here. Another feature I would like to see is a statistic bar / button that shows how many people are currently online, or were online within the past 24 hours. I like looking at numbers and audience engagement. These are a couple of features that I would add to the site if I had chance to design the way it is. Unlikely I know that such changes are likely to happen - or happen any time soon. What fantasy features would you like to see on Mylot?

Maybe a shout box that would let people chat and drop a quick message that everyone can see. That would liven things up!

@destry No, not the same. It's more like a small live chat. You'd usually drop a short message, not an article or anything. Bells and whistles, of course but I think that would be nice.

I quite like the anonymity of others, not knowing, though you do sometimes feel, the only person in the conversation is you, I don't like the feature of others pouncing on you... as on Facebook, so maybe not for me!

Thats true -maybe people could have an option to turn off or on their invisibility!

Now that I like in a way - but the audio could get quite annoying if you open up several peoples profiles at the same time!

I do not really care to know how many are online, but it would be nice to see if an user is online while we are interacting. It is true that if someone puts the laptop in sleep mode without logging off the user shows to be online, when it's not.

I'm pretty sure that if that feature existed, I'd want to find a way to turn it off.
