Another hot and humid day with no signs of rain.

The weather has really become unpredictable.. we usually have abundance of rain this time of the year but this year it is unbearably hot and humid... this dry spell seems to be killing crops and drying up water sources.
I have to water my plants twice a day now and even then they seem to wilt by evening. Its so hot inside the house that the fan seem to be whirring all day long.. our cooler went kaput the other day due to constant usage.
I hope it rains here.. very soon.. How is the weather in your place?

In my place, the weather is very hot almost 40 degrees Celsius. This is the hottest weather of the last few years. Almost 6 months there is no rain although only drizzle. My favorite plants and lawns are dying because sometimes I forget to water it ... oh ... so hot ....

It usually rains here in the afternoon, it's good because the haze is still not gone.

We need rain, too. They keep telling us that we will get a lot later this winter, but we haven't seen it, yet.

@iamshane487 The changing weather patterns change the way seasons go.. we have gone caroling on warm and humid nights for a couple of years now.

oh, i recall those days 'n feel fer ya. we jest got outta drought this year, so can relate to the heat (triple digits t'weren't uncommon, 'long with 25mph winds 'n higher...), though not the humidity.
jest'd a cold front come blastin' through this past weekend, but made a nice rebound monday with a high of 70 degrees. i'm so not lookin' ferward to winters chill..

@crazyhorseladycx I am glad you are out of drought.. I was watching the crops wilt and die as we drove past field of rice and millets. Just thinking of those farmers was making me sad. Poof adding strong winds to high temperatures is disastrous.
And you will soon move on to cold winters... Oh man you have a wide range out there don't you?

I live in spain ... on the Mediterranean coast, have very mild winters, our humidity is very high for 2 to 3 months august being the worst.... but now ..its great, no humidity just lovely warm days.... but we too are experiencing a drought...we have had below average rain fall for the last 3 years...., and the same so far this year....

@sueznewz2 I am wondering if I should move to Spain after retirement..
I am getting to dislike the lack of change in season s though I love sunny days.

In my country, Israel, it is also hot many days, and it gets worse every year.
When the weather is hot and there is no air conditioner, the best thing to do is to hide from the sun.
If you can make some shadow over your garden, less sun radiation will come on your crops.
It will be cooler.
Try to stay protected from the sun, close the windows in your house, don't let the sun light getting in.

@stringer321 I am getting it done.. putting some shade nets over my garden. The house will be much cooler for that.. That s for the suggestions.. They are valuable.
