Serious spoiler alerts An astonishing episode in the sixth season, potentially killing off one of the show’s best loved characters, but leaving his fate ambiguous. Rick’s group are divided on maintaining their attempt to lead the vast zombie herd away from Alexandria or going back to assist the community while they appear to be under attack themselves from the human predators calling themselves the Wolves). Rick leaves the cars and bikers drawing the herd while Rick runs on ahead to get a truck to assist in rescuing his friends. Michonne and Glenn are left to assist the Alexandrians, with warnings from Rick not to expect all the Alexandrians to make it alive. Ultimately, while some Alexandrians die, with Michonne left with just two survivors, one of who is injured, the real tragedy befalls Glenn. Burdened with the treacherous, cowardly Nicholas, who the humanitarian Glenn forgave even after Nicholas tried to murder him, Glenn finds himself surrounded by a vast zombie horde and balanced precariously on a truck with Nicholas, who decides to blow his own brains out. Unfortunately in falling, his body takes Glenn into the zombie scrum with it. We see the ravenous zombies dismembering a body but is it Nicholas or Glenn? Fans are divided though I expect Glenn has gone (he is dead in the comics but taken differently there). The death of a major character, (and Glenn has been in the show from its beginning) is usually a season finale, not an event for three episodes in. The indication now is that anyone expendable, including series lead, Rick. To hammer that home Rick, having barely survived the Wolf attack, now finds his truck won’t start and the zombies surrounding him. He goes into emotional collapse and his cut hand might even be already contaminated by zombie blood. What a cliff-hanger. The humanitarian gestures have now had tragic consequences. Glenn gave Nicholas a new chance and died for it. The Wolves allowed to live after their failed attack on Alexandria have now jeopardized Rick, while Daryl’s indecisiveness as to who’s side he is on left him useless to everyone. This is getting bleaker by the week. By the end of the season even viewers will be copying Nicholas. Arthur Chappell

Well, I think I have read enough reviews that it's time I watch an episode. Today while I go to see the doctor, I download one from YouTube.
