Are You Watching the World Series?

October 27, 2015 8:18pm CST
Are you? Kansas City Royals versus The New York Mets. I'm rooting for the Royals. I was hope, hope, hoping for a Royals/Cubs World Series, which didn't happen much to my dismay. Tonight, I root for Kansas City and the demise of Murphy who was key to the ruin of my cubbies.

The Dodgers used to be in Brooklyn??? Who knew! Kidding. Vin Scully got his start back when the Dodgers were still in Brooklyn. Did I have you going there for just a second?

I couldn't find it on TV last night, so I "watched" the extra innings on my computer while writing progress notes.

Tonight, I was able to get the game on TV. I'm rooting for KC, even though I'm an NL (Giants/Cubs) fan. Cueto looked great. I'm happy.

@jillybean1222 I had the volume down and didn't realize he was tossing a 2-hitter.

No. no plans to watch. I am a man who never watches sports, must be un-American or something.

nothing wrong with that! :-) I'm thankful that my husband, though a big baseball fan, isn't one who wants to watch sports every weekend. he hates football. so i'm always glad of that.

I haven't watched a World Series in years, not even when the Sox were in it. I am not really following sports anymore. It's just another thing I have lost the will to follow the TV schedules of.

when my husband and i were in our early years of dating, we were all about baseball. then life and kids happened. and now i only follow once it reaches this stage of the game.

we don't get the game in the UK - we used to have to play Rounders at school which is a diluted version of baseball

I'm watching. I'm elated that the Fox feed went down so I don't have to listen to Harold Reynolds for a few minutes! I'm rooting for the Royals as well, partly because the Mets beat the Cubs and partly because I was in Kansas City earlier this year and took a tour of Kaufman Stadium and found it a very warm and inviting place.

Yeah, I can live without him, too. Joe is nowhere near the announcer his dad was, although I will say he's better than Harold Reynolds, or the now-departed Tim McCarver (how that guy got the Ford C. Frick award from the Baseball Hall of Fame, I'll never know!). And, I would rather have Buck than another second-generation announcer I'm unfortunately stuck with (Thom Brennaman, who is positively WOEFUL).
