Ghost Writers

Recently, I have noticed more and more freelance writing positions open for Ghost Writers. People willing to write for other people, but not getting any recognition for their writing. I have never applied for one of these positions, but wondered if the pay was pretty good. I don't think I would want to compromise myself by writing for someone else to receive recognition and more pay for one of my originals. Is this something you might consider?

Thank you. I am not that confident. I am still trying to hone my writing skills. Maybe in the future.

I hear they do pay good for ghost writting depending on the content and its popularity

I have never written for any of those ghost-writing sites but since 1994 I have written speeches and press releases for clients. I also spent 19 years writing uncredited daily show prep for radio presenters all over the UK. I had built up a large number of published and broadcast credits before I started all this ghosting and have continued doing so since. Even if you are getting paid, you could still end up feeling pretty empty inside if all the work you manage to sell is only ever used anonymously.
