The Dinosaur Ate the Skeleton!

One of the houses on Balboa Island, where I sometimes walk, has a dinosaur in their front yard. This is not a Halloween decoration. It is there all the time ... which I think is rather unusual. However, for Halloween, they did something special. They hung a skeleton from it! It looks like the Dinosaur ate someone and all that is left is their skeleton. Does anyone near where you live have unusual yard decorations??

This Ty Rex is superb We have no yard decorations for Halloween here, and the Christmas decorations are already in the streets.

@topffer That seems awfully early but they do the same thing here in some stores.

@DeborahDiane We don't celebrate Halloween. My town is installing Christmas decorations actually, and they are already in some shops since mid-October. It is a bit ridiculous

Christmas decorations in France already? Wow! Here, most people don't put them up until the end of November.

Four families up here have the same fall-Halloween scarecrow in their yards. It looks like they bought a set and divided them.

@ElizabethWallace It would seem creepy having the same in four yards.

@Marcyaz No, but it seems creepy to me, which works considering.

I have to say that sounds like the best decoration I have heard of this year.

No yard decorations here, I have seen very little even in the shops this year. It seems that big corporations were unable to impose Halloween in this country.

@DeborahDiane I am happy too, especially this year that I am not too well, I would not appreciate to have kids knocking at my door.

I think that Switzerland is better off without Halloween! I love the decorations, but I am happy we don't have Trick or Treaters in our neighborhood.

@LadyDuck Just turn off your outside lights and go to the back of the house. Kids avoid dark homes in suburbia.

Some neighbors down the road have mannequins in their yard. They decorate them for the holidays.

We used to have neighbors who did that ... put costumes on mannequins. When one of our daughters was little, she wouldn't go to their house! LOL

No one has any decorations near where I live but I imagine in town there would be some but I haven't had any reason to go to town the last few days. I like that dinosaur and with the skelton it does look very much like Halloween.

Yes, I thought at first, it was the dinosaur that ate that up! A house few distance away from my church is always decorated with zombie mannequins every halloween time which scares the kids a lot.

I love walking around that island. They go out even more for Christmas, believe it or not. I'll post pictures when they put up the Christmas decorations, too!

How cute. Such and original idea. No one around here really decorates much for Halloween.

@DeborahDiane I do too. The same with Christmas. I never decorated much outside because I never had the money to but I love going around and looking at Christmas lights.

While I don't go in for Halloween myself, and I don't decorate, I love to look at the decorations that other people put up.

I haven't been out and about much to notice, but I'm sure there are. This neighborhood is usually loaded with all kinds of ghostly ghoulish displays. I love what they did with the dinosaur.
