The wonders of the old stuff. / myLot

I´m mylotting in my old big computer. It has minor problems that can be fuxed such as a keyboard with letters erased by use. But the screen is a giant one and as soon as I ment the keyboard with a white pencil, it will be as good as new. The upstairs chair is better than any at the first floor. I only hope there´s no earthquake while I´m upstairs. This room has no TV so I can concentrate more in what I am writing and reading. So, dear mylotters, here I go.

I have always said old is better than new.I think old computer a lot of times are better than newer one but the newer ones are faster that is for sure. The old ones work just as good to me. I guess it is beause I build them and fix them I can make the work again like new.

My grandson built this old one for me and he came once in a while to fix it. But now he is studying in Spain, in the other side of the planet

@poehere I trusted my 15 year old (then) grandson to build me a computer as his birthday present. He was awesome and did a wonderful job

@marguicha Yah I guess it is a long way from where you live to Spain. Well anyhow home build computers will last a long longer than ones you buy in the store. People normally buy better quality mother boards when they build their own.

I also write upstairs, in my computer room, using my old desktop computer with a real keyboard and a big screen. Nothing is more comfortable.

It doesn't mean old is obsolete and be discarded. Since it had withstand wear and tear and still can serve its master well, then continue using until such time when it yells 'nothing last forever'. lol

Maybe it's time to get a new keyboard?

But nothing wrong with using an old computer if it works perfectly. I'm glad that you're enjoying your activities on myLot. Keep it up!

I felt so "in" when I got my laptop! I could use it anywhere whilst this old thing occupies a big table in the second floor. Now I´m back to my old love
