When Life Is Too Boring to Write About

I have actually had a wonderful day, but I'm sure most of you are tired of hearing about my research, writing and Local History Week.
That's all there has been in my life the last couple of days, exciting stuff for me but becoming repetitive for the rest of you.
This has been my first chance of coming online all day, other than a few facts I needed to check on. But believe it or not, I have achieved a lot.
Maybe tomorrow I'll do something worth writing about.

Sometimes, even running errands or doing small chores can be exciting.

@ElizabethWallace You've inspired me! I'm going to write about "karma at the dollar store" and see if anybody cares!

You have to think outside your own box Val. Just cast your net there.

@allknowing I prefer to be where I am at the moment, immersed in Borough Council arguments over finance in the early 1900s - no one wants to hear about that

Keep a little notepad and pen with you at all times. At any time you do something, jot it down and put a little note next to it. At the end of the day, write a short story about it. I like to do that as I forget what I did all day long but I remember saying to myself, this will be a good post.

I'm betting we'd find your day far from boring

I am finding it all quite fascinating and I am sure I would really enjoy attending it myself.

There are times I feel like that myself. I wonder sometimes if people get tired of reading about my kids and my pets, but that's my life. It's exciting, sometimes, to me but not necessarily to everyone else. Write about it and people will read it if they want.

I reckon almost every day of my life is too boring to write about, so I scribble nonsense about big impersonal topics instead. Maybe I need to think more about the little daily things, and try to "see a world in a grain of sand."

We would never get bored. It is always interesting what other people are doing, especially for me. I love hearing how the rest of the world are carrying out their day.

It doesn't matter how boring you think the things you write about are, lots of us think it is interesting to read.

Keep writing. It is those writing which you feel that you have already had enough will surprise you by more responses.

@valmnz And we write with the most passion about things of interest to us. So I won't stop posting about vintage loudspeakers, working with troubled kids, music, etc. It's the stuff that I find exciting, and hopefully I can pass that excitement on to others.
