Ending My Day With Sudoku

One of my favourite ways to unwind at the end of my day is to do a Sudoku puzzle. Ever since a ten year old boy at school taught me how to do them I've been hooked. I'm not as good as my sister though, she does the really complicated ones. I always have a Sudoku puzzle book beside my bed. Most nights I solve at least one complete puzzle, though as I do the harder ones in the book it sometimes takes two nights, depending on how tired I am. People often ask me, doesn't this stimulate my mind before I go to sleep? My answer is no. I think in words, they are what stimulate my mind. Numbers create no visual pictures or extended ideas for me. They just exist for my enjoyment of finding the right place for them on the page. But what about you? Do you enjoy Sudoku at all? Or are you one of those to whom these puzzles are a complete mystery?

I can do simple ones, but have never been a huge fan, too much maths

No, I have a hate sentiment toward numbers and mathematics. I like to solve crosswords, but not Sudoku.

yes they are .... to me its just math... and I dislike maths problems immensely.... but I can see how they are good fun.. I do number crosswords... as it's just fitting the numbers into a grid... no maths involved just problem solving...

My wife is a wizard at these things - she can do the super-mega-genius ones - whereas I make hard work of the easy puzzles. Cryptic crosswords are more my thing.

My sister is good as those complicated ones too. I'm just happy to challenge myself and work at my own level my friend does cryptic crosswords, they are a complete mystery to me.

I love Sudoku and Logic Puzzles! I have not done any in a long while, though.

I'm feeling tired tonight from staying up far too long to finish one last night.

I do something truly mindless. I play a match three game before bed, with the sound on. Mostly, I keep the sounds on games off. But it changes everything and that's what matters. It's not words, it;s different - just pictures and music.

I used to do that every morning on the way to work. We collect the free newspapers from the MRT station, and there is a Sudoku in it. Sometimes it is so easy that i complete within 3 minutes. Sometimes it is so hard that I have not completed it by the time I reach the office.

I'm the same, at the easy end of the book I do two or three a night. At the difficult end they take ages. I didn't complete last night's one.

I prefer the more mathematical kakuro puzzles.

I love Sudoku, but not the fastest to solving it! Do it every day on my iPad!

I like to buy a book that goes from easy to hard, but sometimes I do them on my tablet.
