No More Killer Whales

I read with delight this morning that Sea World is finally phasing out their killer whale shows. My first thought was, well, it is about time! I have only seen 2 killer whale shows. One was at Marine Land in Calif., and Sea World in Orlando, Fl. Both shows kind of frightened me, I mean, you really don't know what they're going to do, they are wild animals after all. Did it take the death of a trainer for them to open their eyes?

Thank heavens those poor creatures will be left to live their true lives in the ocean.

I read that they won't be releasing the whales, though. That is probably a good idea. Some that have been released have not survived.

Killer whale shows are dangerous. It is a good decision to get rid of those kind of shows. I never do enjoy watching them anyway.

I was always afraid something bad would happen. I usually sat as far back as I could.

Well, if they free those whales . . it is about time to free all the wild animals in the zoos, too! They all belong to the wild!

I read earlier today that they will not be freed. In the past, whales that have been set free ended up dying.

I am glad they are stopping the performances of these magnificent creatures. It is a shame they can't be released back into the wild though.

It is a good thing they are giving up the shows. It was dangerous for the trainers and cruel to the whales. My concern now, however, since it may be detrimental to the whales to release them, what kind of life will they have now. Will there now be a curtailing of the cruelty?

Who knows? Maybe they are not even sure what they are going to do.

@Pattitude At this stage, you are probably correct and they are unsure what steps to take
