Go see the specialist the end of the month!

I had visited my family doctor back last spring, I had been referred to a specialist for the endometrosis. I am shocked of the lack of knowledge most doctors have for it.
I know they can't do much but basically for me every 8-12 months (if the medication works) stops working. But when that happens most doctors wont even bother almost shurg you off. I refuse to take pain meds (which is their solution to shut you up).
I was put on some birth control last spring which knock on wood has worked until the last month or so. My bowels have been acting up, and that means me taking my other meds now too. The pain is worse, and I know if it's not fixed now it will just keep getting worse until I change my meds.
My doctor has since agreed to send me to a doctor in the city (compared to where I am living in a small town). If any thinks back to some discussions from the past, one told me it was in my head, the other told me to go have kids.
I was just looking up reviews online and this doctors I am going too is younger (and they seem to be more up to date on things), and has good reviews on not just pregnencies.
I am hoping this visit goes nicely, and maybe work on more issues. I have to thank my GI specialist who made my doctor move faster (when he referred me to him yet I didn't need that doctor but he has helped with my appointments).

Several years ago when I had endometreosis, I was blessed to have a renowned gynecologist in the area. He told me right away the only sure way to diagnose endo is to do laproscopic exploratory surgery, which he did, and removed what he found. I was on birth control pills for a while afterwards, but they actually made my pain worse, plus upset my stomach, so I got off them. I've been up and down since then, but a lot better than I was. (I'm just worried it might be coming back, though, judging from some of my symptoms.)

@ricki_911 No, I never tried Visanne, and from the sounds of it, I'm glad I didn't. I tried the ones that you take for 3 months straight, but after the first 3-4 weeks, I was spotting constantly, so that was no good, so I got off it. I haven't been on anything for a few years now, thankfully.
Have you ever tried homeopathy? I know it sounds fake, but I tried it a while back when my symptoms started returning ,and noticed a big improvement. I think now I should try another round. There's a Dr. Matheny in Washington State that does phone consultations for those who live far away, and then he sends you the appropriate remedies.

@ricki_911 I sure hope you find something that works for good. Are you ever planning to have kids? They say sometimes that straightens things out. I'm not married and never intend to get married and have kids, so that's out for me.

@connierebel NO! I don't want kids, now if it happens it happens but I hate kids (really annoy me and no patience for them). There is no proof that having kids will straight it out. I know many who have kids and endo that did nothing. Some have had the surgery and it worked. They wont do a hsyterectomy either because I am 27 and may want kids. Yet, they tell me I have a slim chance of having kids. Makes me wonder if any of the doctors even know what they are talking about.
