The Burning Man...

is a place actually not a man. The Burning Man Festival actually.
It all started in the mid 80's. Read about that here:
Susan Surandan was on a talk show this morning talking about this event. It sounded really interesting so I did some research.
In 297 days the man will burn again. August 28th until September 5 in 2016. Art, sculpture and other ways of self expression. It is a get together once a year in the desert at Nevada's Black Rock and create a temporary metropolis that is dedicated to such things as community, art, self-expression and reliance.
Do you know of it? Been there?

@celticeagle maybe not. We didn't really go out much to experience a lot of the Vegas lifestyle.

I always wondered what they were referring to, whenever I heard someone talking about the 'burning man'.

I've never heard of this being done before, nor would I be interested in going. I wouldn't mind hanging out on a beach, but not for that type of thing.

I don't know that I would either. Sand blowing all around, sand storms, etc. Doesn't sound like a real good time.
