Forgotten Memories

Today when I was commenting on memories this came into my mind and was something I hadn't thought of in years. When I was a young child (around 7 or 8) there was a neighbor girl on one street over from where I lived, she was my age and in my grade and we became friends. She would come to my house or I would go to her house to play, generally we played inside because she was not well. She was not in school for a week or so and I decided to go to her house to see if she wanted to play. When I knocked at the door her mother came and I said can Mary play, she told me Mary had died. I never thought how hard that must have been for her Mother to tell me. I really had no concept of what that meant and so I went home and ask about it and my father explained what it meant but I still could not understand except that she would not be able to play with me ever again.

That is a sad memory. I am surprised no one thought to explain that she was so very sick. The thought that she could have a friend and play must have been very comforting to her family.

Don't reminisce the time she was sick, don't recall the time she could'nt play.... She hates that... because true friends don't let her friends be sad or mourn.. Remember those moment that you and her where very happy and out of this world innocent children with pure laughs expressed... :D and see what makes you feel.. :) you can feel her happiness too. just this moment.. trust me.. :)

@softbabe44 I am so sorry that happened to you and your friend. I hope it helps to know that she's happy in heaven and waiting for you to come one day too. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

@Marcyaz Yes you are right she is in a better place with God and His angels. And one day you will see her again as I will see my loved ones who went home too. I can't wait to go to heaven to see Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit and everyone who's there.

@Marcyaz Yes, isn't it wonderful to know if we have Jesus in our hearts and believe in Him we can anticipate heaven as our final destiny. John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish (go to hell) but have eternal life.

@softbabe44 I have lost my dad but not my Mom and I am not looking forward to that day and I pray I go before her as I don't know that I'll be able to handle that kind of pain. It was hard with my dad, but we really weren't that close but my Mom and I are pretty close, so I will put all that in the Lords hands.

@softbabe44 I am so sorry you lost your mother and I pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort you as Jesus said He must go so the Comforter would come. He is our Helper, Teacher, Guide, Friend and our Advocate. I pray you'll find comfort in Him in Jesus name

That's terrible. But a very effective way to stop kids knocking on your door. Are you sure that it was true?

Moral lesson is. VALUES ONES LIFE.... Treasure everyday, every moment every people that you may or may not be with ..... EMBRACE it.. And positively, Make friends all the way, if u encounter hard or bad people try to be an adviser or change them in simple friendly GOD driven way.. you'll end up exhausted yet happy...

I don't know what her medical condition was all I knew was she couldn't play like the other girls and I so her and I would play quietly and to tell you the truth I enjoyed our time playing quietly. It was a sad time to think I would not see her again.
