How has social media changed for you? / myLot

Social media has changed so much over the past ten years.Whole websites have come and gone, places like MySpace got huge only to be killed off by Facebook. And now we have a hundred other social medias popping up. What has been your social media journey? Where did you start, what places are you still a part of today?

I am still on Myspace but it is a ghost town there - I used to use Yahoo chat forums a lot but they were a trolls paradise and lots of creeps were after private rather intimate chats too

I started out on Yahoo and Hi5 and then to MySpace and then to Facebook (and Facebook is where I have stayed).

Places like this are pretty much my only form of social media now. I check Facebook and Twitter maybe once a week, but that's mainly to see what others are up to - I rarely add anything of my own.

I did the myspace thing and then got bored cause they kept changing it around and i got lost..hahah, so then everyone said come to FB..finally after a few years i did and now i hardly go there but i'm here and have been since 2008

I started in Friendster at that time Facebook is not yet existing..I have so much fun in Friendship but cut off all of a sudden.I am now in different social media accounts but I am most often in Facebook,rarely posting but keep on looking what's new there and what other people up to.

I am on facebook and Twitter. I only really use Twitter as a link system for my writing sites. Facebook I love as I am In touch with alot of people from school and Iit is lovely to catch up with them. Also I can keep in regular contact with family members and work folleagues. There are also so many different groups that I am part of through facebook .....selling ....recipes .....saving money ..... the list goes on. Yes, you have to be careful with what you put on ( not a good idea to tell people when you are going away etc ), but, on the whole I think it is great.

I use twitter daily and ocasssionslly facebook. More time is given now to mylots.
