First Christmas Present Bought

I couldn't resist. I got an email today from the site I bought jigsaw puzzles for my husband last year. They had a great offer of free shipping today only PLUS a free jigsaw puzzle. So, I ordered. I know my older daughter wants the Hedley CD, as well as downloading it from iTunes, and my younger daughter just wants iTunes to download Bieber's new CD. And there is a book she wants as well. Other than that, I haven't got a clue what to buy. The jigsaw puzzles are great because when golf season is over, my husband busies himself with the puzzles and sometimes we will help. I'm not fond of the fact that he won't take them apart and there is a stack of about 10 of them on boards stuffed under our living room sofa. One of these days I will take them apart and donate them to charity... or sell them on eBay.

And do what with them? I have no wall space for them... or anywhere else. Our house is nothing but clutter. Getting rid of them is the best thing to do but he is still showing them off to people. Eventually I'll take them apart.

And in case you dont find any takers, please consider me I love the jigsaw puzzles. Though my place at the moment is too cluttered, and I have one only on the computer, I would prefer to have one around that I can play with even without a computer or an Android set.

Hey, I should post pictures of them. If someone makes me an offer he will have to part with them because he knows how much we need the money.

@patgalca I am willing to attempt that (make an offer) for sure.. but it might be late as I have to reach payout level first... and at the moment, it looks somewhere in the distant future

Sounds like a really good deal for a change.

Maybe, maybe not. If I had waited a couple of days I could have gotten in on their sale, but paid for shipping. The result probably would have been the same either way.

I would have thought that he would like to do them again if it's quite a while since he's done them.

He is not likely to do the same puzzles over again.

If you sell them , you will be able to buy him new ones, and if he never does them again ,nor looks at the finished picture, where is the harm?

I'd say he wouldn't notice them missing but he has been showing them off to people.

I bought my first round of Christmas presents today, too! One present is one of those sticks with a stuffed horse head, only the stick is covered in furr, too. My daughter should like that. I like the idea of jigsaw puzzles for Christmas. Good present idea.

We have always had at least one new game under the tree every Christmas. We'd spend the holidays playing the games as a family. Now that the kids are older (19 and 22), it's hard to find time to play with them as they have busy lives.

I'm really not sure what we're going to get for presents. My husband and I may have one or two ideas, but that's about it.

I have ideas but I haven't bought anything yet. I can't believe it's almost the holiday season already!

I have fads of doing jigsaws from time to time but it always make my back ache really badly. I've tried the board at all sorts of heights but I can't seem to work at them without my back really playing up.

I have bought a few gifts so far. And helped an elderly relative with some Christmas shopping. Lots left to do- lots of grandkids!
