My Feet are killing me.

How is it that something as insignificant as a corn can cause such pain that it is disrupting my life? Corn plasters used to relieve the problem by protecting the area with a small hole in a circle of fabric but the chemists here no longer stock the traditional corn plasters.
They have been replaced by a finger like length of fabric lined with silicon which must be cut to size and then placed on the toe to cover the corn. In effect this is like a glove that encircles and enlarges the width of the toe. Thus increasing the pressure against my shoe.
The irony of the situation is that having successfully acquired a new hip I am now limping because of a corn. Help I want to start walking with pleasure again.

It is rather like walking with a stone in the shoe, except that it is easy to remove the stone.

Boingbing I smiled! My daughter said exactly the same thing when I asked her to find some for me in England. I told her to find someone with grey hair and ask them what a corn is.

I didn't think my feet were that wide but I do only get wide shoes these days because I am prone to problems if my shoes fit too well.
