And Now

Those grains of sand
from years ago
have now greyed and faded
We are now living in
a world of fear
the world that we created
There is a fear that travels
through the air we breathe
it infects our minds
and mental states
We now walk alone
this fruitless earth
We have sealed the hands
of our own fate
Time has no fear
no boundaries
it just ticks by aimlessly
Time does not care
of our fleeting lives
has no regard for humanity
We’ve sealed our fate
we’ve closed the gate
no more love and hate
now there’s only waste

I very much like this poem and can relate to the time we live in as it affects us now with all the latest tragedies..
I try to not let fear get to me or they win.

I wrote this poem actually a long time ago. I first posted it on Bubblews back in 2013. Now since the bubs is no longer there, I am posting it here. And here it shall remain. Thank you for liking this poem. I have many more where this came from.

@Rosekitty I will. I have many more. In addition to the ones that were on the B site I still have many that I never submitted online at all. So, there is a good amount to get to.

our present is built on our past - very true and powerfully captured here

@arthurchappell I am glad also. Thanks again. Really. I have to go through my posts to see what else I missed.

@inertia4 probably just swallowed up amidst lots of other notifications - they can be easy to miss - glad you found it in the end though

the sand timer never stops - a good theme for a poem though while we still breathe we can make changes
