With Thanksgiving approaching quickly I'm curious to know about everyone's Favorite Thanksgiving foods and traditions. What's your typical Thanksgiving Day like? Who cooks? Who hosts? What's your favorite food? Do you have anything special that you normally don't eat throughout the year? is there anything special served that highlights where you and your family is from? I love Thanksgiving. For me it's a day filled with family and fun. My mother normally cooks everything and for the past few years Thanksgiving has been at my house. While she cooks and after we eat we play games. All sorts of board games, card games and maybe even charades. My family is from the south and every year we have chitterlings and hogmaws. This is a food we normally serve only on Thanksgiving. My son was only 11 months last year and too young to eat most things we had. I can't wait to see him be a part in the festivities and food this year.

I look forward to greens too. We make collard greens and sometimes mix them with Kale. What kind of greens does your family have?

As many of us that can go to my brother's house in the next state. My assignment is to make the cranberries like mom did. I also make a version of jalapeno cranberries and anything else I want especially pies.

@MrsWest our favorite traditional dish are greens and sweet potato casserole. As a family, we all get together and cook some of the dinner, the host gets to make the turkey. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
