Red Sky At Night Gives Me A Fright

Red may not be quite the right color. The sky was really more of a sickly yellowish pink. It reminded me of the pink tinged water they use in the movies to show when the last of the blood from the murder is about to be washed down the drain. I know the old saying, "Red sky at night, sailors delight." It is based on certain meteorological phenomenon that indicate fair weather the next day. I am also familiar with the belief that a yellow tint in the air means a storm is coming. Did the bizarre yellowing pink tint to the air this evening mean we are about to have a storm followed by fair weather tomorrow? Was it an omen of bad things to be followed by better times? Have you ever seen a sky like it?
