Using Writing As An Outlet

Being a writer can mean many different things to many different people. As a writer, I love to be able to have an outlet for all of my feelings. I have so many things going on in my life and sometimes, I get the urge to write a journal entry or just write. Many times, my writings don’t make sense. They just ramble on about anything and everything until I feel like I have made my points. Sometimes, it takes me explaining my feelings in many different ways, in order for me to feel like I have completed my mission. I think that writing can be so powerful. There are so many different forms of writing someone can do and the options are endless.

I agree that writing is powerful. I always write about my day and/or my dogs and family so I guess it is a way of journaling.

@star_disgate Yes it can. I usually write about anything that comes to mind. Sometimes nothing comes to mind and I don't post that day.

I do like those urges. What I lack in is being a reader specially my own.

I agree, writing can be a great release of pressure and anxiety. It's like the words you write take some of the emotion you are feeling.

I believe that is true. Sometimes those words come to life and hold what you feel.

I don't think of my writing as primarily expressing my feelings, but I'm sure I probably do it more than I think I do.

Writing is a great way to express your feelings, whether it's a diary entry, a song or poem, a short story or a novel, fiction or nonfiction. It's great therapy.

I think explaining something in writing gives me a deeper understanding of it.
