I haven´t showed up at mylot before because, as I was browsing what TV was showing, I came upon an old remake of an still older movie. A channel was showing Sabrina.
There was a very attractive and young Harrison Ford (I had also seen so many decades ago how Humphrey Bogart played Linus). There was Julia Ormond as Sabrina (Iprefered Audrey Hepburn).
The plot is predictable, of course, but it doesn´t matter. All romantic films and novels are predictable and that doesn´t make them less interesting to watch.
Do you like to watch romantic films? Do you watch them more than once? Which one is your favorite?

@Asylum I think that it is much harder to make a nice horror movie than a simple romantic one. For me, the best horror movie ever has been Rosemarie´s baby.

I saw both the original Sabrina and the remake. I haven´t seen lately the first one although the actors are wonderful. What I liked best about the remake was the mother of the Larrabee brothers. The character was funny. I would have given a prize to the actress.

@marguicha I think you are referring to Nancy Marchand,I have not seen the TV series''The Sopranos''. She won a golden Globe for her performance in it.

I like watching romantic movies. I remember the movie Sabrina. As to the old romantic movie, perhaps it is Rome Holiday. This movie was very popular in China in the past. It was starring by Audrey Hepburn. It is even a black and white movie and it played in the TV many times in the old times.

I saw many black and white films and I still think that many films need black and white more than color. I also saw Rome Holiday and other films by Audrey Hepburn. She was as beautiful as she was talented.

I like watching romantic films but nowaydays I don't have so much time to watch any films. yet when I do, I have shifted to watch mostly Korean romantic films like windstruck, my sassy girl, and many more. sounds unfamiliar? I feel that too when I read the reference you mentioned. is it good? the romantic films as Hollywood production I still like even now are pretty women, sound and music, love actually, ugh so many I can't mentioned and some of catherine heigl films.

I am aware that in asian countries there is a big film industry, but I have never seen a korean movie. I don´t even know if I can get them. Maybe in Netflix?

@marguicha hmm they are pretty easy to access, like youtube or viki. in my country netflix isn't happening anytime soon. so sorry I can't tell if it's in netflix or not. I guess...maybe? I have many friends in the west that are fans of K-pop culture so I guess it should be easy for them to access too.

I watched many films on weekends when my husband was alive. We usually went to the cinema on Saturday nights. Now I watch films on TV mostly. I also like documentaries. I love to travel and there are many places I will not be able to go.

I like films and I didn´t miss many when my husband was alive. But I don´t like to go to the cinema alone so I have to wait until someone invites me. Fortunatly, now we have the Netflix and even TV has more cinema channelsy
