What's cooking?

What's cooking in your kitchen this evening. We had a pork roast with homemade mashed potatoes and homemade gravy. My wife was going to make instant potatoes which are okay but I really like the real stuff over the dehydrated flakes. So she pleased me and made them from scratch. It was cold today this morning was the worst it was blistering cold out my finger tips were frozen when I was standing outside trying to send a text message. I couldn't text with them on and it sucked. By the time I made it back to my house from dropping off our oldest at the bus stop and making sure he got on safely I was glad to hold the hot cup of steaming coffee with my hands the heat of the cup felt great.

Sometimes we have breakfast for dinner its faster and its good! Our kids like it especially when its things like chocolate chip pancakes.

@Missmwngi our kids too they like it so much they even eat chocolate malt o meal. They would probably like living in a chocolate factory lol

We had pork chops and fried potatoes. I agree with you and do prefer the real potatoes myself! It's cold here as well, time for me to stay inside!

WE didn't have any dinner last night. I made turkey and gravy on toast for lunch with the leftovers. It's pretty cold here this morning.

that sounds really good its a hearty sandwich gravy rocks on turkey because its a bit of a dry meat because its so lean.

I don't know how to cook with curry but I have eaten some good things made with curry like Rowtee I know I spelled it incorrectly but that is how it sounds.

My wife likes some vegetarian food mostly veggie burgers. She likes it and if she became one I would be okay with that as long as she didn't try to make me give up eating meat those are grounds for a break up lol

I like that it sounds like a great combination of a sweet and savory balance in your meal. We have left over pork which we will probably incorporate into another meal some time later on today

The food sounds really good. I remember when I was a kid we had a floor furnace and it felt so good to stand on it. I have potatoes to cook and smash. I usually leave the peels on because I am lazy and that is more nutritious.

Yes, it's cold here in Massachusetts too and I prepared pork stew. Having soup in the house during this cold season hype me up. I had coffee too all day.

That's how we are we drink lots ot coffee and usually Just eat one meal the Kids Iive in the fridge their favorite phrase is I'm hungry.

this is true luckily here it doesn't get as cold as fast as other places and we barely see snow which most times I am grateful for except we don't have a white christmas

I had Kielbasa sausage and cheesy rice. My kittens got up on my bed and ate half my plate. Then i made a hot dog, ate half of it and they ate the other half of that too. Thats the first time they have ever eaten my food like that. But anyway, thats what was for dinner.
