I'm tracking down my articles that have been stolen

I'm taking a break from performing a chore that is a total waste of my time, but which has to be done. I'm tracking down articles of mine that have been copied and posted online by content thieves. So far this evening I've found 14 of them.
When Yahoo Contributor Network closed down last year, thieves saw it as a golden opportunity. Almost every article I had posted there now has been copied to sites like eggpen dot com, eggvan dot com, and porkyjuice dot com. So now I'm having to waste a whole evening and more sending them takedown notices.
I wonder if content thieves know - or care - how much they cost their victims in time, effort, and definitely in frustration.

Thanks, @GardenGerty. Unfortunately, I'm not even a quarter of the way through my list of articles. Ugh!

@jstory07 My articles were mostly posted on ycn.com, which closed down last year. The three thief sites I mention above are where almost all have been copied to. I wouldn't be surprised to find that all are operated by the same thief.

I wish you joy of dealing with those sites! They are all owned by the same person who clearly has no regard for his own Terms of Service. I am pretty sure that they will blatantly ignore your Takedown notices.
As far as I can see, most of the articles posted on those sites has been stolen from Yahoo.

how did those three sites get access to the YCN articles? i thought the site would 'hide' them.
where are those three sites based? how are they earning from those stolen articles?

Wow that is really low down of Yahoo to do so.
I hope you can manage to find all the articles friend.

Thank you @RonElFran for the names of these sites. Many of us who contributed to Yahoo Contributor Network and elsewhere (Bubblews, eHow, etc) had our work stolen-and the sites 'accepting' these articles don't seem to check EVER to see if these are copies.

Hi Folks!
As a Newbie here, I'm jumping right into this discussion.
Yes, I too have found that some of the articles I had written for Helium, Yahoo Network and similar other sites, have been reproduced elsewhere. But the ones I located, had been credited with my name. I have no idea how to find those which are not credited. Let's see.

I didn't really think about anyone stealing my articles. I did think about them stealing my poems though, so I didn't put any out there for anyone to steal. I also have a unique way to identify my poetry that only I know. So, if anyone would ever try to steal them, and I would see any of them on a site somewhere, I would be able to PROVE that the poem was mine.
