Tattoos and piercings

How do you feel about tattoos? Some feel that they are bad. Some feel that they are art. I personal feel that they can be art when tasteful.
Although I like that saying that says "if you think your having a bad day, just think someone out there has their ex's name tattooed on them." That always made me giggle because I would never get anyone's name tattooed on me outside of family
For example, I have a small frog on my ankle with my grandma's initials under it.
As far as piercings, I have a few. I have two on my eyebrow and my nose. I got them because I think they look pretty. Hehe.
Do you have any? If not what is your opinions?

My mom pierced my ears when I was a baby. I can't remember the event but I can pinpoint the time it happened. My mom had this superstition. I was born in December. She believed that my ears had to be pierced around the Easter holiday because they pierced the hands and feet of Jesus. So I have pierced ears, but I could have lived my life without tattoos or piercings. I don't see the value add.

None and none and your right if you had your lover tattooed somewhere on you, then split up hmmm not a good idea

@T_gray yeah it's a big mistake, my brother had one done with his ex-girlfriend name, I think his wife made him get it blanked over. So funny I always have to laugh at that, not the thing to have done.
So your nose is pierced then some have the middle part done some have one side done, which do you have?

I think you are right , it is all about taste level and they can be beautiful, tattoes that is. Piercings I am not so sure about it just looks painful to me when it is anywhere but ears. Of course my grandkids have a few piercings and maybe one tattoo.

I don't have any but wish to have one later on, tattoos are nice on the body but I really don't like piercings it don't look too good on ones body as far as am concern

the only thing pierced on me is my ears and no tattoos. However family members (male & female) have tattoos and so far are pretty tasteful
