Some People Do Not Need Children

I just saw a post on facebook that angers and hurts me so much. A mother and her boyfriend left 4 children under the age of 5 alone while they went to get pizza and a prescription filled. While the mother was gone, the 2 three year olds (twins?) put their 19 month old sister in the oven and turned it on. The baby girl died from her burns. What is up with these mothers leaving their children alone? Especially such young children. This angers me so much and it hurts me to think of what kind of pain that poor baby went through before she died. I think this is horrific and something that could have been avoided. The mother's own mother lived in the apartment complex and she didn't even tell her she was leaving or ask her to keep an eye on her children. I hope this woman is charged and spends the rest of her days in jail. You can read more about it here:
Two Houston 3 year olds who were left home alone locked their 19-month-old sister in an oven, turned it on and killed her on Thursday.

Some parents are just very irresponsible. I always don't understand if they don't want to have children, why they have to deliver them? Some people are just not suitable to be parents. They can do whatever they want freely since they don't have their children. But once they have children, they should take the responsibilities and bring them up. This is a very terrible news and it happens everyday in the world.

These parents are so irresponsible, I stayed with my sister-in-law for two weeks and she takes her kids out with her when she needs to get something. That is what you do when you have kids and you need to get something.

It is very irresponsible. I don't understand it either and it just makes no sense. All of this could have been avoided which makes it even sadder.

how horrific - the couple could have had just one of them get the pizza while the other stayed in, or phone out for one to be delivered and they would still have a baby

Exactly! Of they could have asked the grandmother to watch the kids since she lived in the same apartment complex.

@arthurchappell I agree and I think it is just horrific that something like this happened when it really didn't have to.

There is a lot of people that should be sterilised, this woman being the perfect example. That poor little baby must have suffered so much, it is a very sad story to read so early in the morning.

No matter what happens, I hope her children are taken away from her and given to someone who cares about them.

Yes, there is pizza delivery. But even better, they could have taken the children with them or had her mom watch the kids because she lived in the same apartment complex.

This is why I never wanted an oven that had any controls on the front of it. Those are very dangerous because kids can reach them. This was a terrible case of neglect and abuse.

I never did either because I could see a child playing with the knobs and turning the oven or the burner on.

Honestly did both of them need to go get pizza? They are too dumb to have children and I am sure they will both go to jail.

That is what I am saying. There are so many people in the world who can't have children and then there are parents like these who just care nothing about the lives of their children.

Oh my goodness, what a terrible news. Some women should not have children. If they are not ready to take care of them, just avoid having babies.

Some women have babies to get the welfare check each month so they don't have to work. She may fall in the category.

It is horribly sad and hard to imagine. I also hope she is locked up for the rest of her life. You know, most inmates aren't very kind to people who hurt children.

I heard about this, I was so enraged. I think that the more and more things like this happen the more people will agree with me that parents need to go through training and certification classes. I know it makes for a more socialistic society, but there has to be a stop to allowing the wrong types of people to be parents.

I couldn't agree more. I mean, who leaves their children under the age of 5 alone? I'm surprised that the whole apartment building wasn't caught on fire.

I am sure the parents will be charged for that crime. However, it does not bring the child back. You are right some people do not deserve to have children.

Some people really don't deserve children. I willingly gave up a lot when I had my children and I never regretted it once. At times I might have even been a little overprotective.
