Kids These Days - Not All Bad

They party too loud and hard sometimes. They leave a mess that I often get to clean up in the restaurant (I've had to get a ladder and clean ketchup off the ceiling). They can come off less than respectful and foul mouthed at times. But they aren't bad through and through. Our free unlimited small coffee promotion ended today. I saw one of the high school kids "buy" sixteen free coffees and with two of his buddies carried them back to school for their teachers. I happened to know that the teachers did not ask them to do this. The whole gang that comes in at lunch time worked together and did this through the whole promotion. I give them a nod of approval. Not such a bad group of young people at all.

What a great read. Yes, kids can be unruly at times, I think we were too to some degree when we were kids, but there is good in them too. I am glad that you were able to show that side of them.

I remember how we were. Yes, we could be unruly and I'm not sure we would have brought coffee to our teachers under the same circumstances.

When I worked in fast food, I saw the good and the bad in the teens. As management, I had to kick some out of the restaurant for being very inappropriate and disrespectful to another customer.

Some of the young people are incredibly kind and caring. There are some quite young ones in our capital who are carers for a disabled parent. They virtually manage the household, help with personal care tasks and still manage to go to school.
