A bowl of rice, and miso for dinner

My stomach isn't doing too well today, so I opted for a nice hot bowl of rice with high quality soy sauce on top, and a smaller bowl of simple miso soup, the red kind. The rice is good Japanese style Calrose, and the combination is surprisingly satisfying. What's your favorite sour stomach meal?

@Rohvannyn The first miso we had in Japan was terrible, the second round good. Seemed to be either or

@Jessicalynnt I wonder if it was brand, preparation method, what was added to it, or what?

I used to use miso. Haven't for years. Guess I don't understand what you mean the sour stomach meal. I like plain macaroni with butter, pepper and soy sauce.

@Rohvannyn Oh, that clarifies things. that would make rice the best. Medically speaking it sounds like the BRAT diet is what you need. That is .banana, rice, applesauce and toast. All things won't disturb your stomach. The banana is a natural laxative.

Macaroni with butter, pepper, and soy sauce sounds really good. What I mean by a sour stomach meal is what you eat when your stomach isn't feeling good. Not really sick but just the feeling that things aren't digesting very well.

Having the simple food is good when you don't feel well. Here when we feel uncomfortable, usually we will just have the congee or noodles. It is easy to digest and we can feel full after that.

I haven't had congee that often, but I just had some noodles. They were good.

We've always stuck by the BRAT diet when sick -- Banana, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. You've got the R part. Sounds good.

White rice, soy sauce and fried egg. I love soups (a lot!) but I can't think of any that goes well with this dish hehe.

@Rohvannyn To me, properly it's such a great combination that I don't wanna let any soup wash it away :". It's like a treat to me haha. Cos this dish is not healthy much (high carb, protein, cholesterol, fat, saltiness). Story of a girl that have suck metabolism T__T.
