Suggesting posts of others is a good thing and better still is suggesting posts that have no responses. I got this idea from @Gayle Harrelson May be this way those posts with no or few responses will get better attention.

Many of the discussions with no responses are of no interest to me whatsoever. I only suggest discussions that I believe have something of value to offer

That's fine. I too see some meaningless posts there. Yet there are some from experienced users that get no responses for no apparent reason.

@valmnz I appreciate and I do the same Val. I have seen many discussions without reponses that are not worth being suggested and I will not.

I might agree with you on this one but there is one error in your thinking. some of them aren't that great and nobody really knows what to say on them. While others write and write and never come to our work so many people don't want to go to their's. Plus some people write so many of them right after another it is hard to suggest them and to respond to them. I go to no responses and try and help out by responding on post. But most of the time I am totally ignored and the person doesn't even bother to comment back to me. Now that is depressing when I took the time to leave them a nice comment.

That is understood. But we are encouraged to bring those posts alive. that have the potential for an interesting discussion. They could be just there for no apparent reason. Anyway there is no reasoning sometimes what catches and what does not. I am with you about users not coming back. That applies not just for those who have no responses but others too. There is no level playing field here sadly.

@allknowing I wrote up a big discussion on this one. I helped and helped on this area. I must of given so much advice. Well guess what I spent over a week there day in and day out and I think I had no I am sure I had only 1 yes 1 person thank me and take my advice. I helped her so much and she is starting to improve. I feel like I could of helped others but none of them cared to even acknowledge I left them a comment. Some of the ones that land in there have turned off their notifications from what I have seen and read. So I feel like I am wasting my time in there. I would rather try to work with a few new users and see if I can help them out now. I tried now for over 3 weeks. I have answered 150+ no responses and in all of this 1 person acknowledged me. Now come on what are we doing this for.

@poehere At the end of the day we all should enjoy what we are doing here. This was just an idea and those who feel comfortable should go for it. We do what suits us and I suggest you do likewise.

If the discussions are worth being suggested I do, but I will not do this ONLY because there are no reponses.

Admin in their recent post did talk about paying attention to posts that have no responses. Not all of them are meaningless.

@allknowing I know, it's what I said, that I do not share all of them, but only those who are good enough to be shared.

I agree with @jaboUK . Posts have to be interesting and something that I think others would like before I would suggest them.

That is the standard for any posts to be suggested not necessarily those that have no responses.

I've suggested posts several times, but I target people who I think will be interested in a particular post. I don't suggest them merely because they have no responses, they have to have some merit too.

I know that is how it is normally done but we have been encouraged to go to posts that have no no responses and so felt it to be a good idea.

@allknowing Oh yes, I do have a look at posts with no responses, but often there is a reason for the no responses!
