If how much one makes is the basis of success, then my friend is much more successful than me. He makes more than $50,000.00 a year; while I don't even make half of that amount this year. He is smart. O, yeah, smart people do stupid things, too. And this friend of mine just did one very stupid thing today.
He called me up to tell that he just lost more than $3,000.00 today playing the slot machines in the casino. That is a heck lots of money for me. I am here myLoting making just few cents in a couple of hours while my friend blew away $3,000.00 in three hours!
You play the slot machines just for fun not a way to make money. In gambling, like playing the slot machines, we just HOPE to win and EXPECT to lose! Believe me because I worked in a large casino for 10 years!
Do you play the slots, my friends?

I do like to have a go on the slots occasionally, but I give myself a set amount to play with. I regard it as paying for entertainment, and once it's gone then so am I
. If I should happen to win and double my money, then I'm outta there too.

That means you have self-control, my friend.
. I have seen a lot of people playing the slots . . when winning they don't stop till all they won including their money were gone. Then they go to the cash machines till nothing is left in their account.

I don't actually play Slots or engage in any form of gambling. Nobody wins in gambling. Some do it to entertain themselves but many started with this and got addicted and their life becomes miserable all throughout. This is so stupid. I don't want to take that risk. I am contented with my simple but blissful life.

@antonbunot Even lotto does not appeal to me. I am just too stingy in releasing money in whatever game of chance be it small or big.

@salonga O, that is my vice . . it is just a mini vice
. . I buy the western 649 for 3 dollars twice a week. If I am lucky, I would be 2 million-dollar richer. But so far the most amount I won was preplays!

I play the slot online, mostly on Facebook. I never buy extra chips but let them add up awhile before I go to play. I guess it is all in the way we make decisions. You can luck into a $50,000 a year job and lose it in a week.

If one knows when and where to draw the line casinos could be fun. I had just one opportunity. I never gamble but I just wanted to know how this thing works. I was at the Washington airport waiting for my flight to Orlando. There was this slot machine there. I spent 20 dollars and just about broke even.

@antonbunot They say it is better to lose the first time as one never gets tempted to go there again

There was a time when my friends and I, when I was not working in the casino yet, visited a casino to listen to a popular singing group. I was tempted to play a 5-cent machine. I lost a couple of hundreds . . I went home feeling dizzy and did not know what to tell my wife.

@antonbunot Definitely! I did win $500 once. It was back in the 70's and my ex and I were leaving Vegas to go back home. We were at the airport and I decided to play the slots there just one more time. I was so surprised that I won.

Wow there was some story about another person who won like 8 million plus on some slot machine and the casino refused to pay her and shut down the machine. They said it was some error and it wasn't possible anyone could win that much on that machine. Not sure what she will due but if it were mean I would of had my camera ready and taken tons of pictures. I would of made sure a lot of people saw this one. So when they didn't pay I could sue them for my money.

That is the best thing to do - - take a picture of the slot's monitor. Sometimes slot machines malfunction. In every slot machine it is indicated the maximum jackpot amount. . . Let us say $20,000.00 is the maximum jackpot amount to be won from a particular slot machine . . If one hits a $200,000.00 jackpot from that machine, it is a malfunction.

@antonbunot Yes I can see this one. But they should of given this person the max jackpot. Instead they only gave her like 83 bucks. Now that one is cheating her out of money for sure.

I do play in the casinos from time to time, but I rarely spend more than a few dollars. I can't afford to waste my money in there. I usually try to play with house money wherever possible.

My brother, the family genius, has no common sense. You can be smart one way, and stupid another way.
I do play slots, but I have a strict limit. If I lose it, I leave, and if I win a certain amount or more, I leave.

There is no way I would blow that much money on slots - I am too cheap - ha ha!! When I last went to a casino which was about a million years ago, I only played nickel keno (5 cents per game). I couldn't handle the loss there! I do remember seeing people just sitting in front of a slot machine and feeding the coins (or tokens?) in like water - not even watching the outcome - I supposed they were just waiting for any winning lights and bells!! Wow, if I had 3000 to blow, I'd rather blow it on a local weekend getaway with the family and I'm pretty sure I'd still have money leftover!!!
