black friday afternoon date

Ooohwheeee. Twelve hot degrees out. Bright sunshine to cheer on the frigid fridge atmosphere.
At noon our sitter lady will show up. Mom says she can be alone. Hubby and I want five hours to ourselves- doing what?? My nattering mind says that Mom should not be alone for five hours.
The temps might get up to 32 today. This means: wear winter clothes. And stay indoors. We do not have a mall. We do plan to get a few things bought and looked at. Mom's birthday amaryllis bulb is brown not green. Poor probably dead thing. I plan to replace it. And lunch out.
I never ever shop on Black Friday. Then again, I've not had Mom living with us before this, either.

This year my daughter is away which means that I don't have my usual shopping partner so I probably won't do much,

@sallypup At least she was here yesterday which is what really counted but her son has a hockey tournament so they are off to support him. I could have gone but we have other commitments.

@BelleStarr That's grand that your daughter was with you for the holiday. I have not visited with my daughter in a couple of years now cause she lives in another state. I miss her terribly.
