Snowing and snowing and slap on more ice to the roads please!
This morning my drive to work was aweful the freeway had a thick layer of ice the whole way there. I drove about 5 MPH and It took me an hour to get to work when it would normally take me 15 minutes.
I very much hate the state of Minnesota and all the snow it has to offer!!

Do you put chains on your tires, or do you switch out and put snow tires on your car? I drove from Florida to London, Ontario once, and when we crossed over from Detroit into Ontario, the roads were all iced over and we basically hydroplaned the entire way. Being from Florida, we did not have the proper tires for driving in snow and ice, plus being from Florida we really had no idea how to drive in snow and ice. It was quite comical, but thankfully we didn't get into any accidents and no one got hurt!

@Castlerock34 Haha, i've got you beat on the number of times in the ditch! Just my one trip to Canada alone saw me end up in the ditch about 5 or 6 times! lol

Nope I dont do either, I just drive with my regular tires. It sure does take some skill to drive in the snow and ice but sometimes it is beyond your control and s**t happens. When I first started to learn to drive my dad taught me all the things I could do to prepare myself for an icy road and how to avoid ending up in the ditch. I have only ended up in a ditch once from the roads being too icy.

I dread the first snowfall of a UK winter. All it takes is a very fine dusting of snow and the entire transport system grinds to a halt!! At this time of year I take my laptop home and work from home if it snows overnight and looks like it's going to take forever to get to work.

I should of done that today, but didnt for some reason. I was a couple miles from my house on the freeway and it started to slope down hill and it was pure ice and I thought to myself I am going to crash I just know it and right then I should of turned around. People are complete morons when any type of weather happens, whether its rain or snow.

@Castlerock34 Too true! Every time it rains here my commute takes about an hour instead of 30 to 35 minutes. You would have thought people would have learned to cope with the rain in Manchester. It hardly ever stops!!!

My daughter and son in law live right near you, but I think he loves it. She stays home with the kids.

I think I would enjoy it to if I got to stay home too/ Maybe I would be able to take in the beauty of the first snow fall instead of cursing it.
