Ah, the what if's in life

A couple of stories on the news tonight make me chuckle to myself at all the what if's in my life. I am sure you have some of those too. This lady goes into the canal, I think it was, and if a delivery guy hadn't taken a little longer before leaving home he wouldn't have been in this remote area in time to help her out to safety. And if a man hadn't been outside starting his car to let it warm he wouldn't have seen the 76 year old man who had mistakenly driven onto the railroad tracks and was about to be hit by the train. What if's. Makes life interesting don't they? For me I think about what if I hadn't moved into the brownstone apartment when I did and met my fourth significant other. What if I hadn't gone to stay with my aunt after my uncle died. I never would have met my daughter's dad. Funny about fate and what it's.

there are many little odd turns that end up being very much more important than they appear at first for sure!

We all have so many 'what ifs' and 'the roads not taken'. Such little things can make our lives completely different.

That's for sure. I believe fate directs us.

I suppose this is what it means by timing. If it's your time means it will be your time for whatever. But all these evidently proves that no one is an island and we will always have someone around us MOST of the time in our entire living time.

It tells me that fate is very real in everyone's life.

Those "what if's" are something else. People are being there at the right times and thank God for that. It's hard to think about those "what if's" sometimes.

There are some very interesting discussions in philosophy about the vagaries of chance. Consider the guy who drives home blind drunk without a scratch, and the guy who has had two drinks and is unlucky enough to have a child run onto the road in front of him. Who is more guilty? Chance may be the single most important thing in our lives.

Important, yes. I believe in fate and maybe the first man you describe has not done anything to inflict Karma on him where the other guy was. Lucky comes in there too.

"What if", is like spinning one's wheels and not getting anywhere. What is the point of playing that game?

Perhaps but, what ifs are what I feel a normal mental exercise that a lot of people go through after certain things happen.

@celticeagle No problem buddy, I'm just telling it like it is. There are more than one way to look at things.
