With a Voice Like Hers, Why the Outrageous Outfits

I am not a big Lady Gaga fan. Truth be told, I'm not even a little bit of a Lady Gaga fan. That being said, I do feel Stefani Germanotta (her real name) does have a beautiful voice, when she wants to show it. So why the bizarre outfits? Does she wear them because she just enjoys it or is she trying to distract from something?

She's rather plain in the looks department. She wasn't going to get anywhere on her voice alone, the world of showbiz is too self-conscious for that. So, she went with a gimmick like so many before her - Madonna, Alice Cooper, Cyndi Lauper, Lene Lovich, Miley Cyrus, etc. It's rather sad, really.

"Video killed the radio star." So many so-called singing talents today made it big based more on their looks than on talent. IMHO, if Shania Twain had come out in the age before video she never would have made it out of her little corner of Canada. I think it is a shame that someone as talented as Stefani has to resort to such a gimmick to succeed.

I actually enjoy her bizarre outfits. It seems like it would take a lot of nerve to go out in public in a meat dress.

I'm not a big Lady Gaga fan and couldn't understand her outrageous costumes. Now that she's singing with Tony Bennett and dressing normally I can't say I'm a fan now either. Guess she just doesn't appeal to me

I reckon she feels she needs it to be "noticed." That kind of garbage turns me off. But she does have a great voice.

She wears them because no one noticed her before the weird stuff. Yes she sang beautiful but that got her no where so she went " out there". I like her. glad to see ya again :)
