Did You See The Smog In Beijing

I know that the city where I live is one of the most polluted there are. But this looks worse. Although, I have heard that there are different kinds of air pollution, depending on the components.

All the burning of coal is finally catching up with them I guess.

I saw that on the news. The thing is we should all stop using coal whether it is in the home or coal fired power stations. Not as easy as it sounds.We should all have green cars. Well that is not going to be possible. I am so grateful I live in a country area in the UK.

Plant more trees and ban cars.

It was horrible! Can you imagine living someplace with that much smog? Even Los Angeles in the 1970s wasn't that bad!

Sometimes I also see the smog in Beijing. but in china there are still many beautiful places and never polluted , By the way, most of developed cities at the first maybe need to do how to deal with those problems.

I went to Beijing two years ago during Chinese New Year. At that time it was OK. I saw these pictures and I learned the horrible air in Beijing lately. I don't know what you can see in Beijing right now due to the serious smog. I heard many people go to the hospital because they don't feel well. Be sure the bad weather and pollution are the main factors. I hope our government can do more real methods to improve our environment. Of course it is easy to said than done. But at least doing something will make a change.

not just Beijing but New Delhi, India is also in news for smog. these two cities are being claimed to have bad air quality. according a Indian news media, as far as air quality is concerned, Delhi is worse than Beijing. Delhi going through worst time in its history.

Terrible. Hope our government can implement an effective way to protect our environment.

I didn't know that they had such a problem until now.

I have seen the photos, it's horrible and I fear that it's becoming worse every year as more people can afford to buy a car.

more and cheaper public transit, and cleaner at that.

Smog will cover each and every city of the world unless we stop using fuels like coal. Industries should be located far from the city areas, and the vehicles should be made for running on natural gas and filters, to minimize air pollution.

They say that healthy activities like jogging and cycling can actually be unhealthy when the air is that bad.

They have done nothing about pollution and it will be there when the weather patterns won't let it drift to cover us. When they decide to do something and worry about the world life will be better for all of us.

That is horrible. I hope they can take measures to get rid of it.
