I Love Trains

I have no driver's license so I take the public transport for day to day travel. My favourite mode of public transport is riding the train. It has always been a childhood dream when I was still back in the Philippines. I would look at trains on TV and be transfixed with marvel at the amazingly long vehicle. I never thought that train rides would be a daily part of my life when I moved to Australia.
Riding a train is so calming and relaxing. It's generally on time and it never gets caught in traffic. Trains also run late night which is very convenient when I am working long hours. I also enjoy "people watching" inside trains. Oh how I love train rides.

I do not think so about the Mass Rapid Transport in our country.
It is always crowded, and the stations are so near to each other.
When I was in Europe, I enjoyed train ride.
It was so nice to travel the whole day on a train, and looked at the fairytale-style of houses and villages.

A friend of mine who have lived in Singapore for 2 years always tell me about Singapore's good public transport when you compare it here in Perth, Australia. He tells me that the train and bus schedules are more frequent. Although for an insider's point of view it may be chaotic compared to the European countries.
PS: I am yet to experience European train rides. Maybe someday I could compare.
