An old Chinese tea set given by my neighbor

I am so grateful for having so many nice neighbors. A neighbor just gave us some homemade buns, and now I received something else from another neighbor.
She is doing spring cleaning now, and she has this Chinese tea set that was given by her friends 10 years ago as a gift. Though it's 10 year old, she didn't use the tea set at all, so it's actually still very new. Her family doesn't have the habit to drink Chinese tea using the tea set at home, she wanted to give it away and thought I might like to have the tea set.
We do have a Chinese tea set at home, though we do not always use them now. My children sometimes like to use the tea cups to drink water as they find it interesting.
I have washed a few tea cups and my children have been busy drinking water with the tea cups today. I actually like to drink Chinese tea with the tea set, and I think it helps to practice our patience and concentration too. My children have learned to be better in pouring the water into the tea cups.
Do you like to drink Chinese tea? Do you have a Chinese tea set at home?

That is not really the traditional Chinese tea set.
It does not have the wood that allows you to drain the tea.
I think you can teach your children about the proper way to drink Chinese tea and the proper way to wash the tea set.
Chinese tea set is not washed with soap and water.
It is washed with hot water, and that includes the tea leaves.
First brew is poured away, as this brew is for washing tea leaves.

Thanks for sharing this. My friend said, it still has other parts, but she doesn't know where she has kept them. Actually I personally prefer the clay tea set.
Yes, I want to learn the proper way to drink Chinese tea (The art of tea drinking) and teach my children too. Before we have the complete set, we will first learn with these.

@kaka135 You can watch Youtube for the traditional way to drink tea.
The best brew is the third brew.
I learnt it when I was in China, and I requested the tour guide to bring me to an upmarket tea house.
The lady literally took her time to explain about different tea, and she brewed a few kinds of tea for us.

I love the tea set in the photo. I don't have a Chinese set but I do have tea cups and teapots. I drink most kinds of tea, don't have a fovorite.

I love oolong tea. I love its flavor. I also like green tea. I drink a lot of Bigelow flavors. Yum!. Nothing better than some tea with honey. Good for sore throats.

Such a beautiful set, I would have not thought the set is 10 years old! You have such nice neighbors (like I mentioned before, hehe).
I drink tea, but no time for fancy cups and such - just a regular glass here, hehe.
